Review: Anna and the French Kiss

Anna and the French Kiss
Stephanie Perkins

Anna is looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. Which is why she is less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris--until she meets Étienne St. Clair. Smart, charming, beautiful, Étienne has it all...including a serious girlfriend.

But in the City of Light, wishes have a way of coming true. Will a year of romantic near-misses end with their long-awaited French kiss?

My Thoughts:
St. Clair. St. Clair, St. Clair, St. Clair. Can I have one too? This book was just so darn cute. It's one of the books you read when you just want a light, funny, romantic book to read. I picked this up on a whim one day when I was at the library after school, and I read the whole thing that night. I couldn't put it down!

Anna is finally seeing her life put itself together. She has great friends a steady job, and a crush with definite boyfriend potential. Then her parents drop a bomb on her almost perfect life. She is being sent to boarding school in Paris. Paris! Now, while a lot of people would love to go to school in Paris, Anna is less than thrilled. I totally understand that too. Packing up the life you've had and going across the 'pond' to France is seems a little scary to me. But once she gets there and settles down a little, she finds her stride. She makes great friends and while there are many complications, by the end of the book, she really seems to have found a place for herself.

A lot of my friends recommended this book to me, and not just my bookish friends, even  my 'read-one-book-a-month' friends too! I would definitely recommend this book to everyone.

Have you read this book? What did you think?
