Author Interview
1. Hello! Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
I'm a many of many tastes. I love writing and have been writing movie screenplays for independent films for years. Now I'm focusing on books and putting my many stories and interests to good use (finally). I'm athletic, like team sports such as baseball, softball, and basketball, but also love trying new things like scuba diving. I love to travel and I'm always up for a new adventure. One time I was on a cruise and for the evening entertainment was up on stage and was hypnotized in front of everyone. Needless to say, I'm not afraid of people laughing at me or having a good time!
2.What three things do you never leave home without?
Phone, keys, and definitely sunglasses
3. What words or expressions do you overuse?
Seriously? Absolutely. You gotta be kidding me. I'd buy that for a dollar!
4.Twilight or Harry Potter?
Harry Potter, not even close.
5.What book have you read most of all the books you've read?
Return of the King by J.R.R. Tolkien
6.Coffee or Tea? -
Coca-cola? (don't drink tea or coffee)
7. What are some emotions to describe how it feels to complete a book and get it published?
A sense of accomplishment for sure. It's definitely a journey with some euphoria to finally arrive at the final destination, but also some melancholy that the journey is over. That's why I'm writing more books (have at least 14 in development). The next journey is right around the corner.
8. Do you play any sports? If not are there any in particular you enjoy watching?
Ya. I still play softball. I was a college scholarship baseball player and my claim to fame was throwing a no-hitter against BYU. I used to play basketball, but now I coach my daughter. I've also recently taken up scuba diving and love it!
9. Vampires: Love them or hate them?
Love watching vampires get a stake through the heart, how's that?
10. What is the most rewarding experience you have had since beginning your writing career?
I had a reader send me an email that left me speechless. She informed me that she was dying of a painful disease, then thanked me for writing my book and offering a few days of escape and enjoyment. She said she forgot about the pain for a while and how much that meant to her. I don't know if there's a higher compliment a writer could receive - it made everything worth it knowing my writing could touch another soul with such impact.
