Review: Through the Ever Night

Through the Ever Night
Under the Never Sky #2
Veronica Rossi

It's been months since Aria last saw Perry. Months since Perry was named Blood Lord of the Tides, and Aria was charged with an impossible mission. Now, finally, they are about to be reunited. But their reunion is far from perfect. The Tides don't take kindly to Aria, a former Dweller. And with the worsening Aether storms threatening the tribe's precarious existence, Aria begins to fear that leaving Perry behind might be the only way to save them both. Threatened by false friends, hidden enemies, and powerful temptations, Aria and Perry wonder,Can their love survive through the ever night?

Rating: 3.5/5

Quotes:
“There was nothing more painful than hurting someone you loved.”

“Love was like the waves in the sea, gentle and good sometimes, rough and terrible at others, but that it was endless and stronger than the sky and earth and everything in between.”

“Love is a rebellious bird that nobody can tame.”

My Thoughts:
In this book Aria joins Perry with the Tides. But the tides aren't ready to accept a dweller. Aria tries as much as she can to be accepted, but eventually figures that things would be better if she left. So she and Roar (Who I still love. Not as a love interest for Aria, but just as an awesome character) set off to the Horns in search of the Still Blue and Liv.

I have about the same feelings with this one as I had with the first. The story is really good and interesting, but I tend skim over a lot of it. I don't know what it is about this book that makes me do that. But the story line continues to be really good. So If you like the first one I would definitely recommend you try this one too.
